Clark County Solid Waste and Recycling is excited to announce a fun and engaging new internship program for VPS high school students at Fort Vancouver and Hudson's Bay High Schools. We're looking for driven and enthusiastic students who are interested in horticulutre, farming or composting. Through hands-on training, students will learn about various composting techniques (backyard, worm bin, bokashi, etc.), compost science, sustainable agriculture and strategies to prevent food waste. The training will primarily take place on Mondays at Heritage Farm from 2-6pm. Students will take what they learn and apply it to action projects that will be implemented at their high schools.
