Waste Not Washington School Awards - Apply Today!

The Waste Not Washington School Awards are back! These awards are a great opportunity for schools to fund new waste reduction projects and environmental curriculum. Schools can receive up to $5,000 per project. Applications are open now until October 31st, 2024 at 5pm.

Award Categories

Sustainable School Award

This award supports ongoing efforts and expands existing programs for waste reduction, composting and recycling. 

Seed Award

This award provides funding for educational aids and equipment for waste reduction and recycling programs. Examples include purchasing reusable dishware, installing bulk milk/water/juice dispensers, new signage, etc.

Creative Curriculum Award

The Creative Curriculum Award funds the creation of new and original curricula that educates school staff and students on the concepts of waste reduction, composting, recycling, green chemistry, sustainable design or circular economy.
