This school year definitely didn't end up how any of us would have imagined. Many of you had environmental action projects at different stages of completion. Life has been turned upside down and we're all trying to figure out how to end the year well.

Washington Green Schools has been working hard to assist schools in finishing up their report card to earn their green schools certification. They hosted "report card parties" via Zoom which is basically a help session and will hold a few more before the year is up. Green team leaders from The Gardner School, Washington State School for the Blind, Seton Catholic College Prep, Pleasant Valley Primary, Columbia River High School, and Camas High School all participated in these help sessions.

From that, Washington State School for the Blind and Pleasant Valley Primary were both able to submit their report cards. WSSB re-certified in Waste and Recycling and Pleasant Valley Primary also certified in Waste and Recycling. Most of the other schools are on track to submit their report cards.

If you are struggling with how to move forward with where you left things when schools closed down, contact Shannon Brennan from Washington Green Schools to set up your report card work session. Shannon can be reached at shannon@wagreenschools.org

We don't want all your good energy and efforts to go unnoticed. We'd love to celebrate your environmental achievements in the fall with an award assembly.
